The Fave Real: How would you describe your makeup style?
Neha: I would describe my style as vintage. Charismatic liner and hair with lots of life!
What is the best job you have ever done and do you have a particular niche?
It’s hard to choose just one. My work is so varied. I may be at London Fashion Week working with runway models or waking up at the crack of dawn for a magazine spread. As for my niche, I would say it is contouring and highlighting. I love the way it reconstructs the face. It can maximise one’s natural beauty.
Name your favourite makeup products:
I have so many! If I had to choose, I would say Kat Von Dee tattoo liner in ‘trooper’ and Traceless perfecting foundation by Tom Ford.
Is there a set routine you follow for achieving flawless skin?
Prepping the skin for makeup is crucial for a flawless look. I start with a quick cleanse and tone which shrinks visible pores, followed by applying ‘Soundarya Advanced Serum with 24 karat gold’ by Forest Essentials. This serum is extremely popular amongst my clients. Applied as a thick layer, this serum allows my everyday cream to sink deep into my skin, after which I’m prepped and ready to go.
What is the best makeup advice you could give?
Foundation colour matching is an important part of creating a balanced look. Remember to always choose the shade that compliments you the best, which means a shade close to your skin colour. It’s better to use bronzer to add warmth. Other than that, be confident with your look and ‘the skin that you’re in’, because makeup has no boundaries.
